Case Study: BMO Global Asset Management - System Rationalization

Organic growth and a series of mergers and acquisitions had resulted in the use of multiple, duplicative systems at BMO Global Asset Management. The cost and complexity of the resulting operating model were substantial and needed to be reduced.

BMO wanted to provide updated front-office capabilities to its investment desk, dealers and mandate compliance team. There was also a desire to create a top-down view of the business.

thinkFolio was implemented as a single, cross-asset-class system to support modelling, order generation, order management, trade execution and compliance. thinkFolio was chosen because of its flexibility and scalability, which allow firms to deploy the platform in multiple locations and build upon it in the future.
