Worldwide data on refineries, including their geographical location, ownership, yields, inputs, capacities, costs and percentage utilisation. Refineries convert crude oil into high octane, lighter, lower boiling point and more valuable refined products. Refinery methods include distillation, desulfurisation, and cracking. Crude oil is fractioned into various end-products such as gasoline, liquid petroleum gas (LPG), naptha, kerosene, diesel, lubricants, coke.
