Reference Data Maps

Link entities to standard identifiers for related loans, equity, bonds and CDS.

Issuer exposure analysis across multi-asset classes has become an essential requirement within the financial industry.

The financial reference mapping service from IHS Markit lets you link a unique entity to its related loans, equity, bonds and credit default swaps (CDS), using identifiers such as RED codes, LXID, ISIN and other third-party IDs. Third-party data for investment mapping links asset classes and identifiers and breaks down data silos that have been created over time. Our Reference Data Maps also fully support the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI).

Key benefits:

  • Global maintenance – Get instrument reference data mapped to entities on a daily basis for you, with new issues actively tracked and added
  • Integration with IHS Markit sectors – Access core entity data that incorporates IHS Markit sector classifications, which provide five tiers of granular sector data covering corporate, government and structured finance entities
  • Links to third-party identifiers – Connect industry identifiers, such as ISINs, Bloomberg IDs and mappings with ratings data from S&P, Moody’s and Fitch
  • Seamless distribution – Enjoy multiple, daily delivery formats, including FTP support
