Increase evaluation accuracy and maximize value from your production and flow pressure data

Are you relying on traditional reservoir analysis methods?

RTA (rate transient analysis) software lets you assess reserves by integrating rate and flowing pressure data without having to shut in wells. Estimate original volumes-in-place, expected ultimate recovery and recovery factor with flowing material balance and other modern techniques. Use type curves to determine gas and oil reservoir characteristics, and look for evidence of liquid loading, pressure support, interference or changes in operating conditions. Run ‘what If’ scenarios and optimize production by assessing the impact of compression, infill drilling and stimulation. Integrated risk analysis tools allow you to assess various scenarios by assigning distributions to unknown variables and projecting a range of possible EUR outcomes.

Learn how to:

  • Justify planned infill drilling programs
  • Identify offset wells that interfere with an original producing well
  • Generated reservoir OGIP estimates that could be higher than those predicted by traditional decline analysis
  • Identify optimal drilling locations for new wells

Estimate Hydrocarbons in Place
Use multiple independent techniques to estimate original oil and gas-in-place (OOIP/OGIP) and expected ultimate recovery (EUR) without the need for shutting in the well.

Reservoir Characterization
Access the most comprehensive collection of production-based methods available for determining permeability, drainage area and stimulation effectiveness. Methods include:

  • Straight-line analytics
  • Type curves
  • Analytical/numerical models with history matching

Operating Diagnostics
Use customizable “dashboards” with built-in plotting functions to identify and account for data correlation problems, wellbore configuration changes, liquid loading in gas wells, measurement errors, changes in water/condensate yields and other key operational issues. Access diagnostic plots to identify aquifer pressure support, well interference and well productivity loss.

Unconventional Analysis

Unconventional Oil and Gas Analysis
Analyze reservoir performance with practical, industry-leading tools that combine proven empirical and analytical techniques. The Unconventional Reservoir Module (URM) is a simple, yet robust tool for quickly evaluating reserves and providing bulk reservoir characterization.

Advanced Reservoir Modeling and Forecasting
Leverage easy-to-use analytical and gridded numerical models, ranging from simple single-layer bounded reservoirs to complex heterogeneous and multi-layer systems. Match history for rates and/or pressures using automatic multi-parameter regression, and forecast future production for under a variety of different constraints. Features include:

  • Multi-staged fractured horizontal wells
  • Dual porosity systems
  • Pressure dependent permeability/rock compressibility
  • Adsorbed gas capability
  • Time-dependent skin
