Council members receive scenario assessments that utilize our quarterly Global Link Macro-Industry Model, priority access to our team of leading economists and industry experts, advance notification of changes to our forecast, and early warnings of emerging global risks and opportunities. Members participate in peer group discussions to address business-critical issues allowing them to:

What's Included

Council meetings

Each quarter council members participate in meetings to develop and examine the implications of global scenarios that incorporate risk factors such as dramatic changes in oil prices, political instability or exchange rate fluctuations. Meetings consist of two face-to-face discussions and two teleconferences. Components include:

  • Member-directed scenarios: council members are polled before each meeting to determine topics of greatest interest
  • Scenario generation: analysis is based on our proprietary Global Link Model
  • Presentation: scenarios and their implications for strategies and contingency plans are discussed in depth
  • Peer-discussions: interactive exchanges enable members to address business-critical issues

Global Link Model

All scenarios are generated using our proprietary Global Link Model (available at an additional fee for development of customized scenarios). The Global Link Model offers comprehensive coverage of the global macroeconomic environment available, including:

  • 68 individual country models—95% of global GDP
  • Country models that are linked with each other and with global drivers of economic performance
  • Incorporation of macroeconomic indicators and sectoral and commodity price data from IHS Markit practices specializing in trade, energy, commodities, consumer markets and risk
