Rules-based, broad and liquid benchmark equity indices covering the global equity market
The new set of EMIX indices, based on transparent and objective rules, offer broad benchmarking and liquid tradable index solutions that track the global equity market. The EMIX indices cover most major global currencies of the broad equity markets, providing a complete and consistent set of size segment indices with standard, large, mid, small cap, and investable indices. EMIX indices are used as basis for tradable products, such as ETFs.
Rigorous and comprehensive quality controls of reference, pricing and corporate action data ensure that each security in the indices is objectively valued and that the EMIX indices are a tradable reflection of the equity market. EMIX rules-based methodologies are publicly disclosed and designed to be replicable. In addition to standard indices, EMIX indices also support a wide range of custom index solutions.
IHS Markit is a benchmark administrator authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) under the European Benchmark Regulation (“BMR”). All EMIX indices are administered in accordance with the International Organisation of Securities Commissions Principles for Financial Benchmarks (the “IOSCO Principles”).
