COVID-19 Vulnerability Index

Measure a country’s capacity to successfully address an outbreak

Our data-driven and forward-looking index is designed to help organizations more effectively anticipate and mitigate COVID-19 related risks to their personnel, assets, and interests in 178 countries around the world.

Enterprise risk managers, business resiliency teams, strategic planners, supply chain risk managers, and corporate security teams use the Vulnerability Index to:

  • Quantify and rank the vulnerabilities of countries in which an organization operates today
  • Anticipate where COVID-19 will spread in the future and how that might impact their personnel and business operations
  • Provide a single source of curated and relevant data to inform contingency planning across organizations
  • Conduct scenario analysis to inform strategic planning efforts as organizations transition from initial response through to the development and execution of longer-term business strategies

Our Vulnerability Index comprises of four sub-indices including demographics, economic vulnerability, health care capacity, and state capacity metrics. Variable weightings are configurable by users to enable modeling and customized scenarios, and the resulting data can be analyzed by country, by region, and in both absolute and relative terms.
