Experts

Mark Boyadjis

Mark is responsible for developing custom research for IHS Markit clients in automotive UX, ADAS, autonomous driving, connectivity, software and related areas. He is an automotive industry thought-leader and has been a key member of the group for more than 13 years. Mr. Boyadjis is tasked with developing and incubating new research initiatives from specific technologies to new domains, as well as driving innovation and strategic investment for our customers and the industry as a whole. Regarded as a leader in Infotainment and HMI business practices, technology insights, and competitive intelligence, he is an often-quoted expert and presenter at several forums on behalf of IHS Markit. He has led projects and research that have aided many automakers, tier one, and tier two suppliers in designing, implementing, and executing global scale strategic automotive technology goals in core product lines. Mr. Boyadjis holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Management from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and Master of Science in Management of Technology (MS MOT) from the Technological Leadership Institute at the University of Minnesota's College of Science and Engineering, both United States.

Holger Hausmann

Holger joined IHS Markit in 2013 as Senior Data Analyst within the Light Vehicle Sales Forecasting division. In this role he was responsible for analyzing and anticipating vehicle sales trends. In 2018, Holger changed position into the Advisory Services team taking over responsibility for Sales Planning Services for OEMs. These services include customer presentations and discussion workshops as well as delivery of customized forecast numbers and reports. Holger holds a diploma in Economics from the Ruhr-Universität Bochum with a focus on macroeconomics, econometrics and operations research.

Tanja Linken

Tanja Linken is responsible for consulting automotive OEMs in defining optimal retail networks, maximizing sales performance and service retention, and effectively managing dealerships. Her experience of 50+ dealer network optimization projects comprises mature and emerging markets likewise. She contributes to the development of proprietary spatial models, including IHS Markit's award-winning "New Retail" methodology which combines geo-marketing techniques and data assets from both automotive and non-automotive fields in a unique, innovative way, allowing an omni-channel planning approach that includes online and offline customer touchpoints and diversified retail formats. Over the past 15 years Tanja has held several analytical and advisory positions, with a focus on geomarketing and retail planning. Prior to joining the automotive industry, she gained her professional experience with urban planning agencies. Tanja graduated with a Diploma degree in Applied Geography from Bochum University, Germany.

Michael Robinet

Mr. Robinet was promoted to executive director of Automotive Advisory Services at IHS Markit in December 2018 - driving industry thought leadership in the field of light vehicle automotive market dynamics and supplier strategy. From December 2011 to November 2018, he was the managing director leading the North American Automotive Advisory Team. Until late 2011, he served as the Director of Global Vehicle Production Forecasts from 1996. In his role as executive director in the global automotive advisory practice, Mr. Robinet builds upon his experience as a leader and innovator in automotive research. He works with decision makers at suppliers and OEMs in the fields of supplier strategy/profitability, global production forecasting, tracking future product programs (FPPs), analyzing sourcing and production strategies to serve OEM, supplier and government entities throughout the global auto ecosystem. Mr. Robinet has over three decades of experience in automotive forecasting, strategic analysis and manufacturing finance. Prior to joining CSM Worldwide, now part of IHS Markit, he worked at several research companies and was schooled in finance at a Tier 1 supplier. He regularly consults with industry executives and presents at global OEM and supplier conferences/symposiums and is widely quoted by worldwide media on a variety of critical industry topics.Mr. Robinet holds an undergraduate degree in economics and an MBA, both from the University of Windsor, Canada. He is a board member of the Automotive Hall of Fame, the Canada-US Business Association (CUSBA) and the Original Equipment Supplier Association (OESA). He is also a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), Automotive Press Association (APA), Detroit Economic Club (DEC) and the Society of Automotive Analysts (SAA). Mr. Robinet pens a monthly column called 'Supplier Eye' for SAE's Automotive Engineering Magazine.

Boni Sa

Boni and the team in China act as the business planning partner for many OEMs including global OEMs, domestic carmakers, joint ventures and national sales companies in China. Boni and the team work together with the customer to analyze the market, forecast trends and planning for future growth. Recent focused areas include market forecast, powertrain compliance strategy, advanced vehicle technology planning, mobility service strategy, etc. Boni joined the advisory service team in 2015. Prior to that Boni was responsible for the Greater China Light Vehicle Production Forecasts for 6 years at IHS Markit.

Kristen Balasia

She brings over 20 years of experience in roles across consulting, sales, purchasing, logistics and program management. She has served the automotive, commercial vehicle, retail and professional services industries. Prior to her tenure with IHS Markit, Kristen served as Business Unit Director at Air International (a Global Tier 1 HVAC & PTC automotive supplier) where she led a global cross functional team responsible for several major global OEM programs. Over her almost 10 years with the company she also served as Director of Program Management, Program Manager - GM Business and Senior Buyer. Kristen has also held roles of increasing responsibility pertaining to planning and logistics within the automotive and retail industries. She has led and worked closely with teams in Mexico, China, Germany, India and Thailand as well as suppliers and customers around the world. Kristen earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.

Reinhard Schorsch

He is a leading expert and trusted advisor regarding market frameworks, regulations and powertrain electrification trends. His experience includes powertrain electrification strategies, vehicle positioning, pricing and sales volume assessments as well as portfolio optimization in volume, premium or performance segments. Shou Osako

Shou is responsible for all activities within the automotive advisory related to Japan and surrounding Asian markets other than China. Shou joined the advisory services group in 2007 following nearly four years as a component analyst. Recently he has focused on powertrain technology/CO2 compliance analysis and xEV volume forecast evaluating the client's product line-up in comparison with rival suppliers and OEMs in each targeted region/country/segment. Prior to joining IHS Markit, Shou worked for a trading company, auto division, as a sales representative in Japan for an American interior supplier. His responsibility was mainly focused on a major Japanese OEM business with various contact windows at Purchasing, Engineering, Design, Quality, Production Planning, Experiment, and Logistics. Shou holds a Bachelor of Arts in Language from Kobe City University of Foreign Studies in Japan and also studies Metropolitan Affairs at Wayne State University at Detroit, United States.
