Associate Director, Gas, Power, and Energy Futures, IHS Markit
Dongjie Zhang is an associate director with the Gas, Power, and Energy Futures team at IHS Markit and specializes in China's power market.
Mr. Zhang's main responsibilities include tracking and analyzing coal-fired and nuclear power development, policy and market reform environment, and market-based power trade. He also participates in consulting projects on the Chinese and global power markets. Prior to joining IHS Markit, Mr. Zhang was a project manager in the Department of Strategy, Planning, and Development at China Guodian Corporation. During his tenure at Guodian, he worked on many power projects in China and other countries, such as Kazakhstan, Mozambique, Indonesia, and Greece. Based in Beijing, Mr. Zhang holds a bachelor's degree and a PhD from Tsinghua University. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.
