His current medical technology coverage areas include software and storage related to patient management and care coordination, virtual care provision, and emerging technology being developed for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Mr. Walker has more than fifteen years of experience conducting industry research, business analysis, and strategy development. He has worked closely with a wide range of clients, including large end-equipment and semiconductor manufacturers, software developers, and start-ups, on a bespoke basis as well as providing syndicated work. He continues to conduct primary industry research in addition to consumer-oriented analysis, specifically in regard to trends surrounding chronic disease management and the technology being developed to improve care outcomes. In addition to his medical coverage, Mr. Walker has provided research and analysis on wide range of subjects including building technologies and consumer electronics. Before joining IHS Markit, he spent several years in the computer software sector as a sales director for a leading CAD developer. He conducted competitive intelligence and developed marketing strategy for an international VAR network. Mr. Walker received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of West Florida, and an MBA in Corporate Finance from St. Edward’s University, Austin, Texas, both United States.
