Edouard Tavernier
Senior Vice President, Transportation, IHS Markit
Edouard Tavernier leads the Transportation segment for IHS Markit.
Mr. Tavernier has responsibility for businesses with combined revenues of $1bn and a team of over 2,000 colleagues. The Transportation segment comprises automotive activities (IHS Markit Automotive, CARFAX, CARPROOF and automotiveMastermind), as well as our Aerospace Defense; Security and Maritime & Trade businesses. Prior to taking on this role, he led IHS Markit Automotive from November 2012 to July 2016. During this time, he oversaw the acquisition and integration of RL Polk within IHS Markit. Edouard joined IHS Markit in January 2009 as Vice President for Commercial Development and Strategic Marketing and held a number of product and commercial leadership roles between 2009 and 2012. He had responsibility for the successful integration of several IHS Markit acquisitions and for driving our platform strategy across several business units. Before joining IHS Markit, He held a number of product leadership roles in the business information industry at LexisNexis, Global Insight, World Markets Research Centre and United Business Media. Prior to 1999, Mr. Tavernier worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in London and BNP Paribas in Hong Kong. He holds a master's degree in business studies from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in Paris, France.
