Mr. Sullivan-Trainor has more than 20 years of experience in advising operators, cloud providers and IT and network solution providers on best practices and strategies for business success. He is a frequent presenter at industry events, including: Mobile World Congress, NFV World Congress, Telecom Management Forum, regional service provider meetings in North Latin America, Middle East and Europe, Huawei User Group Meetings, Huawei Cloud Connect and Huawei Operations Transformation Forum. Prior to IHS Markit, he had founded his own advisory service practice and originated business advisory services for other research firms that focusing on telecom services encompassing market forecasts, strategy analysis and research studies in CEM, network implementation, consulting/SI, managed services and customer care. He also founded research services in carrier cloud, NFV and 5G. Earlier, he was director of market strategy for the broadband and optical networks division of a major equipment manufacturer and a member of the corporate strategy planning team. In that capacity he advised on business opportunities in IP, mobile networks and advised global and regional service provider customers. He began his career by focusing on internet research where he guided ISPs and solution providers through the early days or rapid internet growth and led a global team of researchers covering Asia Pacific, Latin America, Europe/Middle East and North America.
