Mr. Shukla is driving leadership in product development, market intelligence, and research flow for IHS Markit Commodities at Sea bulk commodities (Coal, Iron ore, Agribulk, Minor Bulk, Bauxite, etc). He is part of the growing analytics team that aims to deliver superior visibility for our clients into the dynamics of the freight market, trade flow intelligence and underlying physical trade in commodity markets. He is a regular speaker at major conferences and client events globally and is frequently interviewed by both print and visual media. Previously, Mr. Shukla served as a senior dry bulk analyst for Mercuria Energy Trading. He has proven in-depth proficiency in short-term fundamental commodity market analysis, paper and physical trading strategy formulation, risk management, long term asset investment research, and econometric modeling. He played a pivotal role in the development of Mercuria's in-house commodity analysis application, which was the mainstay for the traders to get regular insights into dry bulk commodities trade flows. Also, he developed a web-based interface, which was aimed at displaying supply and demand trends impacting dry bulk commodities. Mr. Shukla holds an MBA in Finance and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, Singapore branch.
