Anna Shpitsberg is a director of global power and renewables for
Anna Shpitsberg conducts research and consults on emerging trends, evolution of regulation and industry strategy as it relates to the global power sector. Additionally, she manages the build out of power system analysis for Africa and the Middle East. Ms. Shpitsberg specializes in power market development. Prior to joining IHS Markit, Ms. Shpitsberg started the U.S. Department of State’s Power Sector Program (PSP), through which she partnered with and advised governments and utilities globally on power market reforms, energy resource optimization and procurement, regional power market regulation, and renewable energy integration and financing. She has held positions at the U.S. Department of Energy, the Rocky Mountain Institute, and Morgan Stanley. Ms. Shpitsberg holds a Bachelor of Science from Binghamton University with concentrations in finance and international management and a Masters of Environmental Management from Duke University, with a focus on power systems and the energy-water nexus – both in the United States.
