Maggie Shillington is a senior analyst on the Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Cities research team at IHS Markit.
Ms. Shillington leads the Smart City Intelligence Service at IHS Markit that provides a broad understanding of smart cities projects, related technologies and regional business strategies. Previously, she was an analyst on the Data Center, Cloud and IT Infrastructure team at IHS Markit. Prior to working at IHS Markit, she worked in the Chicago metropolitan area as an IT consultant with Unbound Technology that focused on small businesses and non-profits. Ms. Shillington holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising with minors in business and informatics from the University of Illinois and a master’s in social science from the University of Chicago, where she studied the role of the IT in developing communities.
