Paola Perez Pena is a principal research analyst in the Upstream
Cost & Technology group, focusing on North American upstream
operations, analytics and insights.
Ms. Perez Pena gained international experience as a management consultant focusing on Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and the United States while she was with the Americas consulting unit of Arthur D. Little, providing asset evaluation - technical and economic analysis - and exploration strategy for E&P companies and governments. Previously, she worked in the research and development team for Landmark Halliburton, where she helped to design optimization models for geosteering solutions, which were patented. She has published and presented several SPE papers. Paola Perez Pena holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad de los Andes - Colombia, and a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, United States.
