She joined the company in November 2014, during the acquisition of DisplaySearch, a leader in primary research and forecasting on the global display market. At DisplaySearch, she served as deputy director for touch panel and emerging display research. Over the years, she has made significant contributions to electronic display market research and has become a recognized industry expert. Her current research specializes in uncovering trends and forecasts for multiple display technology markets, including OLED, 3D, E-paper and flexible displays. Prior to DisplaySearch, Ms. Oi worked as an analyst at iSuppli Japan, covering research for large, medium and small LCDs, OLEDs, components and applications for the flat panel display market. She was in charge of research for TVs, signage/professional displays and specialty monitors. Before iSuppli, she was a key member of the well-known Japanese research firm TSR, where she worked as an analyst for the large-to-small-size LCD market. In addition to researching application systems and display components at TSR, she focused on cellular phone systems, RF platforms and medical systems. Ms. Oi has a bachelor's degree from Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan.
