Editor, Jane’s Intelligence Review, Jane’s by IHS MarkitMr. Robert Munks is the editor of Jane's Intelligence Review (JIR),a specialist security publication available online, in print and indigital formats.
JIR covers transnational security issues, such as international relations, terrorism, insurgency, state stability, organized crime, WMD proliferation and cybersecurity, as well as trends within OSINT analytics and news reporting on developments in the global intelligence community. He formerly headed the Latin America Country Risk team at IHS Markit. Before joining IHS Markit, then Jane's, he worked for the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and as a foreign policy adviser to the Secretary-General of the European Union. He has provided commentary to a wide range of international print and broadcast media, and runs an annual workshop for the master's degree on Intelligence Analysis at King Juan Carlos University, Madrid. He holds a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Modern European Languages and Cultures from the University of Durham, UK. He speaks Spanish and French.
