Associate Director - Upstream Insight, IHS MarkitMs. Aube Montero, associate director at IHS Markit, is a Petroleum Economics and GIS expert whose main responsibility is to help clients make investment decisions and formulate strategies.
Based in Houston, Ms. Montero manages, advises and participates in upstream consulting projects where she leverages her data science and petroleum economics expertise to enable clients to evaluate prospective investments and/or fiscal systems. She has been working with IHS Markit upstream groups in the US and the Middle East for 12 years. Before this Ms. Montero had various analytics and audit roles with Schlumberger in the US and the UK. Her past projects range from due diligences, to resources and fiscal benchmarking and market entry strategy. Ms. Montero practical expertise includes petroleum economics modelling, unconventional basins and plays, strategy formulation and modelling, advanced geospatial analysis, commodity prices and production forecasting, and cost factors analysis. She has collaborated with IHS Markit upstream research with contributions to studies such as "The Replacement Imperative", "Fuelling North America Future" or "Shale Gas Reloaded". Ms. Montero holds a masters degree in Finance from the University Rene Descartes (Paris V), and she completed a certificate in Petroleum Projects Evaluation and Management at Texas A&M Harold Vance School of Engineering, US.
