Executive Director, Gas, Power, and Energy Futures, IHS MarkitMeg McIntosh, executive director with the Gas, Power, and Energy Futures team at IHS Markit, leads North American power and renewables research.
Ms. McIntosh oversees several research streams, including renewable power cost and development trends; renewable capacity addition forecasting; analysis of targeted renewable policies; analysis of broader climate policies and their implications for a range of energy sector business lines; and trends in distributed energy resources. Previously, Ms. McIntosh was a director at the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust, where she oversaw the Industry Investment and Development Program, making loans to and equity investments in early-stage renewable energy companies. While at the Renewable Energy Trust, she also was responsible for optimizing the organization's renewable energy certificate contract portfolio position. Ms. McIntosh also worked for PA Consulting, advising energy and financial sector clients on a variety of wholesale and retail energy market issues, including generation asset valuation and development of competitive retail supply business strategy. Ms. McIntosh holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and an MBA from the Yale School of Management, United States.
