Associate Director, Upstream ConsultingImre Kugler, Associate Director, is a member of the regulatory consulting group.
Mr. Kugler specializes in international energy and natural resources regulation with focus on energy and environmental law, economics, worldwide oil and gas fiscal agreements, and regulatory risk management in relation to oil and gas exploration and production activities. He also has experience in international trade and industrial policy. He was a contributor to IHS Markit's Multi-client Study Breaking with Convention: Prospects for European Unconventional Gas. Prior to joining IHS Markit, Mr. Kugler worked for 11 years in the manufacturing sector where he negotiated global supply agreements with both US and international customers. In addition he worked on US regulatory and compliance issues. Mr. Kugler is a member of the State Bar of Texas. He holds a BA from the University of Texas at Austin, an MS and MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology, and a JD from the University of Houston Law Center, where he was an Associate Editor on the Houston Law Review.
