Ali Khalili

Ali Khalili leads the EMEA Automotive Advisory team, and specializes in Connected-Car, Software, Infotainment and Automotive Technology trends and Systems Development

Mr. Khalili leads the European advisory team handling projects for OEM, Supplier, and Financial-services clients. Projects have included: electrification trend analysis and forecasting for passenger-vehicles and light-commercial vehicles; technology trend forecasting for connected-car services, infotainment and OS, ECU and domain-controllers, and ADAS/ AV systems; supplier value-chain analysis considering future electrification and vehicle-technology developments; and component-manufacturing trend and site-analysis for electric-vehicle battery-cell and battery-system modules.

He was previously employed by Volkswagen AG where he was head of connected-services end-to-end development team for the Chinese market (2016 - 2019); was program Manager for Mobile-Online Services program with SAIC-Volkswagen and FAW-Volkswagen Joint-Ventures (2015-2016); and was test manager for infotainment and telematics-systems testing and technical project-manager for first locally-developed infotainment system (MIB-G) (2012-2015). Prior to joining VW he was a supplier quality engineer for electronic module components and alloy castings for Chinese and ASEAN sub-suppliers at Formel-D for Continental AG.

Mr. Khalili holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Automotive Engineering from Loughborough University, United Kingdom and a Certificate in Chinese Language, Advanced-Level, Tsinghua University, Beijing. He speaks English, Persian, German, and Chinese.
