Prior to joining IHS Markit, Ms. Holzinger managed the energy storage research service at specialist consultancy firm Lux Research, where she covered innovative technologies and startups in the battery sector. She also worked as a mechanical engineer at aluminum-water battery developer Open Water Power, where she coinvented the company's static cell system and built prototypes for US defense contract milestones, leading to the company's acquisition by L3 Technologies. Ms. Holzinger holds a Master of Engineering in mechanical engineering from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science in marine chemistry from Eckerd College, both in the United States.
