Principal Analyst – Country Risk, IHS MarkitMr. Benjamin Hodges is a principal analyst for Country Risk at IHS Markit.
Mr. Hodges manages Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) collection and source development of indicators and analytics. Prior to joining IHS Markit in 2016, he worked as an intelligence operations specialist at the NATO Intelligence Fusion Centre. A former Armed Forces Reservist, Benjamin has taken part in HUMINT operations in the Balkans and Iraq. He formerly was a police officer who thrived in intelligence roles, including time spent with the Metropolitan Police Special Branch and Counter Terrorism Command. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in International Politics and Strategic Studies from Aberystwyth University, Wales, and a Master of Arts in Intelligence and Security Studies from Brunel University, London, UK.
