Consulting Associate Director, Aerospace & Defense, IHS MarkitInigo Guevara is responsible for growth of the Aerospace, Defense and Security consulting practice for IHS Markit in Washington D.C.
Mr. Guevara focuses on providing strategic consulting to governments and companies operating in the arms trade and defense industries sectors, including opportunity assessments, engagement strategy, and capture support. He is a subject matter expert in global arms trade, emerging markets, defense industry developments, and procurement policies. In this role, he has led multi-disciplinary studies on foreign defense industries and R&D capabilities. He joined Jane's in September 2015 after being a contributor to multiple Jane's publications and consulting engagements since 2007. Between 2010 and 2015, he worked for a DC-based company serving a broad range of US government and private clients with critical defense, intelligence, and security missions and previously served as director of analysis in the Office of the National Security Council, Office of the President of Mexico, where he advised the Mexican government on infrastructure, technology and equipment options available in the international market. Mr. Guevara holds a Bachelor of Arts in international trade from the Tec de Monterrey in Mexico, a Master of Arts in international security from Georgetown University’s security studies program, United States, and he is a graduate of the strategy and defense policy course from the National Defense University in Washington D.C.
