Thomas Gilligan

Head of Americas, Equity Sales, IHS Markit

Thomas Gilligan is head of Americas Equities and works closely with equity asset managers, bringing expertise on cross-sector data and intelligence, quantitative strategies, short selling analytics and risk.
Mr. Gilligan is a founding member of the IHS Markit alternative data committee and has been with the firm since 2009, when he joined as part of the acquisition of Data Explorers. Prior to Data Explorers, he worked closely with hedge fund clients of Morgan Stanley and within the prime brokerage business at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Gilligan holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Stony Brook University, New York.
