Mania's work is focused on freight flow data forecasts, transportation systems demand analysis, supply chain risk, and freight performance measures evaluation. She is responsible for the development of the Freight Car Outlook, a detailed report on North American railroad freight car market and has experience working in public and private sector transportation projects. Prior to joining IHS Markit she was a research associate at the Intermodal Freight Transportation Institute at the University of Memphis. During her M.Sc. studies at the University of Memphis she worked as a research assistant working primarily with truck GPS data. Her graduate work focused on developing algorithms to analyze freight corridors to address MAP-21 objectives using truck GPS data. She speaks English and Greek.
