Senior Vice President, Planning Solutions, Automotive, IHS MarkitTim Armstrong heads Automotive Planning Solutions at IHS Markit.
Mr. Armstrong is responsible for the automotive research and analysis of 250 analysts, who help OEMs, suppliers and other automotive stakeholders make better planning decisions.
His research interests cover automotive demand especially in emerging markets and new mobility and compliance trends. Recent research topics in the group include new mobility and its impact on the automotive and energy sectors, emissions compliance, and new technology trends.
Mr. Armstrong has twenty-five years of experience in the automotive industry. He holds a Master of Economics degree from the University of Western Australia, and Bachelor's degrees in economics and finance. Languages include English and French.
