Devan Adams, MBA is a Principal Analyst in IHS Markit's Cloud and Data Center Research Practice, where he is responsible for cloud services, data center switching, and fibre channel storage networking research. He develops qualitative research and quantitative insights that allow customers to stay abreast of new market trends, is regularly quoted in technical publications such as SDx Central, and has more than a decade of experience in network product management, marketing, telecommunications and cloud research. During this time he also developed and helped manage reports covering data center networks and software defined networks. Before joining Infonetics, Devan was as a Global Product Manager at Hewlett-Packard (HP) where he defined the 3-year product roadmap for small business networking (SBN) solutions. He also performed in-depth market analysis and developed revenue forecasts for HP SBN sales, accomplishing 90% actuals vs. forecast accuracy. Additionally, he developed creative marketing collateral and videos which significantly increased customer awareness. Devan has a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering (EE) with a minor in mathematics and an MBA with a specialization in market research from the University of Cincinnati.
