Dylan will explain the latest data quality projects and new features of IHS data, including E&P, basins and midstream, as well as our upstream intelligence (GEPS) and fiscal terms (PEPS) services. These initiatives are driven by customer input – your input is sought to ensure these tools and databases continue to meet your needs.

Globally, we are witnessing the re-alignment of energy portfolios on an epic scale. The world of energy is divided into “Hunters” and “Prey”. While the North Sea is contending with low commodity prices, production increased in 2015 and the largest discovery in a decade was approved for development last year. What are the potential opportunities that the North Sea offers to the “Hunters”, and what are the implications on the “Prey”? We will examine how IHS Energy products can be used to quickly assess what the opportunities are, and how they fit into buyer portfolios.

IHS Energy International Data has undergone recent enhancements that allow users more powerful insight and greater capacity for opportunity identification. This session will provide an introduction on how to utilize IHS Energy products to find and assess opportunities in early stage of projects by example. The additional features, including the new High Impact Wells subject and Parent Plays attribute, will also be demonstrated in this session within the Australasian proven basins.

- 3:30 pmAssessing Opportunities and Comparing Exploration Performances for US Unconventional Plays
When considering possible opportunities in US unconventional plays, it has become more important than ever before to compare exploration performances through concise, relevant and qualitative measures. Based on the most dependable dataset recognized by the industry, we will look into how easily you can compare performances and make an informed, situation-aware decision for entry, partnerships or asset acquisition in US unconventional plays. We would also look into how the analysis of comparative performances – when coupled with the in-depth data – can provide the full picture up to the level of a single well.
