Training Workshop:
Introduction to Methanol
Introducing Special Module: Small-Scale Methanol Plants

September 29, 2017
9:00 am - 5:30 pm

This full-day workshop is taught by IHS Markit methanol experts who will offer a broad understanding of all major aspects of the global methanol market.

  • Mike Nash, Vice President, Syngas Chemicals, IHS Markit
  • Victoria Baghdjian, Principal Analyst, IHS Markit
  • Marc Alvarado, Associate Director, Methanol, IHS Markit
  • Olivier Maronneaud, Consulting Principal, IHS Markit
  • Leshan Hou, Principal Analyst, IHS Markit

New Module: This year’s workshop features a special module by BSE Engineering on solutions for small-scale methanol plants. A number of technologies are commercially available but how do they work? In this special module by industry experts, participants will gain an understanding of working principles and the implementation of sustainable methanol production using pure gases (carbon dioxide and hydrogen produced from power), in which the methanol plant handles immediate load changes.

Delegates will receive:

  • A hard copy book of the workshop materials
  • Networking opportunities during refreshment breaks and lunch
  • Access to IHS Markit methanol experts during the training and networking breaks
