WPC 2020 Cancelled
IHS Markit presents the WPC 2020: The 35th Annual World Petrochemical Conference on 24-27 March 2020 in New Orleans, LA.
Dear WPC Participant and Partners:
In light of developing circumstances, we regret to announce that it is necessary to cancel The World Petrochemical Conference (WPC) 2020 scheduled to take place in New Orleans, on March 24-27.
Over the last few days concern has mounted rapidly about the COVID-19 coronavirus. Our decision was made following recent guidance from health officials and in light of the rapid growth in global cases of COVID-19, as well as increasing travel restrictions and other circumstances. With delegates from 47 countries due to gather for WPC 2020 later this month, we wanted to provide as much notice as possible.
Our number one concern is the health and safety of delegates and speakers, our partners, our colleagues and vendors. We sincerely regret any disruptions to your plans and will follow up shortly with further details and steps in light of this decision.
IHS Markit is committed to advancing insight and dialogue among the global Chemical community and we will continue with WPC 2021 in New Orleans on March 9-13, 2021.
We thank you for your engagement and your commitment to WPC.
Sincerely,Brian Crotty, EVP/Energy and Natural Resources, IHS Markit
Mark Eramo, SVP/ Oil Midstream, Downstream, Chemicals
Lyn Tattum, VP/Business Information, Same Day Analysis, Events.
