Economics & Country Risk Breakfast Roundtable
UK-Africa Investment 2020
The UK has an ambitious vision to significantly increase its
investment in infrastructure and business across Africa, aiming to
generate up to £8 billion of public and private investment across
the continent over the next four years. As part of this vision, the
government held a UK-Africa Investment Summit on 20 January 2020 to
promote the wide range of investment opportunities in Africa.
Led by our dedicated Africa analysis and research team, the event will involve a short presentation on how businesses can quantify country and sector risk to target the most suitable investment opportunities. The presentation will be followed by a Chatham House Rule discussion that draws on the tangible experiences of international businesses that have entered markets across Africa, including their lessons learned.
Attendees will comprise heads of strategy and risk from a diverse group of UK corporates, and will feature guest speakers from the insurance, legal, and compliance industries with extensive experience in deal support in Africa's largest markets. Attendance is by invitation only to ensure all participants have a chance to ask questions and share experiences relevant to their work in Africa.
