Cloudifying the enterprise edge for performance and efficiency
Presented by IHS Markit and
Edge computing, where compute is moved closer to the user such as in the enterprise branch office, is driving a re-think of the enterprise demilitarized zone (DMZ) and its connectivity to the cloud. Rather than a collection of individual appliances, the enterprise DMZ is moving itself to a cloud architecture using a shared compute infrastructure with software modules (virtual network functions, or VNFs), providing traditional DMZ functions such as security, load balancing, SD-WAN, and WAN optimization. This new enterprise architecture for networking and compute at the enterprise edge will allow for rapid deployment of new applications and increased performance when connecting the enterprise edge to corporate-operated DCs or a hybrid or multi-cloud, with reduced capex and opex. This webinar explores the techniques and architectures for the enterprise edge connected to the cloud and provides use cases showcasing successful deployments.
Who Should Attend
